Terms of Service

Please take the time to read the following points as they pertain to the terms and conditions of booking and travelling with The Little Expedition Company. In addition, please carefully read the registration packages sent out after signing up for one of our retreats as there is specific information regarding the physical demands of each expedition.


  1. By signing up for one of our expeditions it is agreed upon that you have read and understood these conditions.
  2. Payment for each expedition is expected in full, unless otherwise noted. Refunds are processed up to 7 days before the expedition date. After being registered for 48 hours an $80 fee will be deducted from your refund for processing fees.
  3. Prices and charges for each expedition are based on seasonality and are highly variable, as is typical practice within the travel industry. Any reduced pricing or discounts that may become available after you have booked your trip will not apply.
  4. Travel to and from the expedition is the responsibility of each guest. Travel from the accommodation site  to each daily activity is also the responsibility of the attendee/guest. The Little Expedition Company is not responsible for transportation of the guests unless specifically stated in the registration package.
  5. Please fill out the registration package provided after you have booked with us and clearly indicate any medical issues or conditions you have which may effect your ability to complete your travel arrangements.
  6. Cancellations by The Little Expedition Company can happen at any time up to 14 days before the expedition departure. At this time the guest is invited to transfer their expedition credits to a future expedition or receive a full refund. Cancellations of an emergency nature, such as natural disasters, terrorism, political instability or other external events that make it impossible for us to proceed can happen at any time before the expedition departure. If this happens, The Little Expedition Company will issue a refund, minus the costs incurred as a result of the bookings.
  7. While most expeditions follow a specific itinerary, we reserve the right to change the trip itinerary where necessary. Necessary changes before the expedition departure will be updated on the website under Current Expeditions. During the expedition, we reserve the right to change the itinerary under emergency situations. When this happens, you may accept the change, be offered a refund for the portion of the trip changing, or be credited with a future expedition.
  8. The expedition leader(s) are the sole authority on each expedition. As such, the leader expects all guests/attendees to cooperate with their decisions and treat others with respect and without harassment or discrimination. Failure to comply with these conditions may result in the immediate cancellation of your trip without refund.
  9. We contract with a network of companies and individuals in the running of our trips. We are not responsible for the acts and omissions of these third parties.
  10. Any liability for any loss, death, injury or damage which you may suffer (directly or indirectly) in connection with or arising out of your participation in a trip, or any breach of the Terms of Service, is excluded;
  11. You release us and our officers, employees, agents and representatives from any liability and expressively waive any claims you may have against us arising out of or in connection with your participation in a trip; and
  12. Any condition or warranty which would otherwise be implied by law into these Terms of Service is excluded.
  13. You consent to us using images of you taken during the trip for advertising and promotional purposes in any medium we choose.
  14. Any personal information that we collect about you may be used for any purpose associated with the operation of an expedition or to send you material on future expeditions.
